UNITY of New Orleans — Tackling Housing and Homelessness

UNITY of Greater New Orleans is a nonprofit organization leading a collaborative of over 60 agencies providing housing and services to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Orleans and Jefferson parishes. Their mission is to coordinate community partnerships to prevent, reduce, and end homelessness.

Joe Heeren- Mueller will be speaking to us on the history of UNITY. He will touch on the growth and accomplishments over the years and will give a brief summary of their service structure and programs, specifically with the Warehouse Program. He will discuss the successes and challenges of housing veterans, families and chronic individuals in our community.
